Paris (November 1, 2024): Counterpoint Research has named Mobiwire the fastest-growing ODM globally in the first half of 2024, with shipments up 50% year-over-year. The result came as overall ODM/IDH smartphone shipments grew 6% YoY in H1 2024, driven by strong demand from Chinese OEMs expanding into emerging markets, according to Counterpoint Research's Smartphone ODM Tracker.
The broader market growth was led by Longcheer, which held the largest share of ODM smartphone shipments by volume in the period. Mobiwire's 50% YoY growth significantly outpaced the market. Transsion group brands — Tecno, Itel, and Infinix — accounted for approximately two-thirds of Mobiwire's H1 shipment volume, reflecting Transsion's continued expansion across Africa, South Asia, and Latin America and its reliance on ODM partners for hardware design and production at scale.

The Transsion relationship is a design and manufacturing engagement: Mobiwire handles hardware specification, industrial design, regulatory certification, and production for devices sold under Transsion's brand families. Mobiwire's broader portfolio spans consumer devices, fintech and payment terminals, and industrial hardware, with the consumer smartphone volume providing the production scale that supports ongoing R&D investment across those verticals.
"The H1 numbers reflect the strength of what we've built on the consumer device side, and the Transsion partnership is a meaningful part of that," said Pierre Dupic, CEO, Mobiwire. "At the same time, the direction we're investing in is fintech and industrial hardware — markets where our smartphone scale and technology gives us a big advantage."
